As an experienced litigator, I specialise in trademark, design, copyright and advertising, and have a particular focus on cases involving product design. I handle cases in front of the courts as well as many proceedings at the Benelux trademark office and EUIPO.
Many of the contentious matters I work on have an international angle; and over the years I have developed a particular experience in pan-European enforcement strategies of trademarks and designs, including customs and parallel import enforcement strategies. In these multi-jurisdictional cases, I very much enjoy working closely with colleagues in other offices across the firm to provide the best service to our clients, keeping in mind not only the legal issues but the business side as well.
Apart from contentious work, my practice also provides global strategic advice on IP rights, and the protection and registration of trademark and design portfolios. Alongside my team, we offer cradle-to-grave trademark services, thereby combining our experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
