Jos Hupperetz

Jos Hupperetz has a longstanding experience in the field of customs. He started as a junior inspector in the Dutch customs administration where he worked for more than 16 years at senior advisory positions in the operational customs service and at the Ministry of Finance.

In 1999 he started to work for the European Commission, as policy advisor responsible for various files: control standards and a common risk management framework; cooperation project with the US Customs and Border Protection; business process modelling for the Customs Code.

Since July 2017 he is appointed as the policy coordinator for customs and indirect tax matters in the Task Force for the Preparation and Conduct of the Negotiations with the United Kingdom under Article 50 TEU.
